Filtration System – The Key Feature for Any Plumbed-In/Mains Connected Water Cooler |
The key to success of any plumbed-in water cooler system is without doubt down to the quality of the filter used to “polish” the water and give the standard of taste required under all circumstances, as well as the frequency at which it is changed. There are many different types of filter available such as Reverse Osmosis, Granular Activated Carbon, Block Carbon, Ultra Violet (UV) etc. All of these are successful in their way but some do have limitations. |
Bearing in mind the basic quality of tap water, we have found the range of filters best suited to our goal of providing superior tasting drinking water is the “Doulton” range manufactured by Fairey Industrial Ceramics Ltd. With experience built over 150 years of continuous manufacturing and with their products now available in 140 countries worldwide, this manufacturer is truly at the forefront of its field globally.
Whilst there is a range of filters to cover all types of specialised requirements, Fresh Opportunities has chosen the Doulton Supercarb filter as its general “filter powerhouse” for its coolers. This combines a fine outer ceramic shell that removes the smallest particulates that can find their way into our water supplies with a carbon core that is super efficient at removing the chemicals that affect taste. This filter far exceeds the basic minimum specifications as defined within our industry and as with all the range carries the coveted approval of WRAS and NSF. The table shows in great detail just how effective these filters are. To help you understand the “size” of a micron, just think of the diameter of one of the hairs on your head. It is 80 microns!! |

If you are doubtful as to whether a filter can improve the taste of your tap water, why not ask for a FREE trial. You have nothing to lose and you may be surprised at the result! The Hazeldene Medical Centre certainly was!
“We originally had a bottled cooler because our tap water was so heavily chlorinated it was undrinkable – turn on the tap and you could smell it in the next room! A friend introduced us to Fresh Opportunities and their plumbed-in coolers but to be honest we were very sceptical that a filter could make enough difference for us to change from our bottled system. They let us have a trial to see for ourselves and we were amazed at the difference – really nice tasting water........” Hazeldene Medical Centre, Manchester |
